I've been having pelvic pain and cramps every now and then since me and my husband last had sex. It was pretty rigorous and I just had a C-section 4 weeks ago. Is there something wrong or was my body just not ready for that rough of sex? It didn't hurt to have sex.

Hi:
Consider what your doctor's recommendation was in regards to how soon you should have sex again. He/she would have made that decision based upon what he knew about your surgery and other factors that are specific to you. Infection is one consideration. Could you have now developed an infection as a result of not being completely healed before having sex again. These are important questions. A C-section is major surgery. You should report your symptoms to your ob/gyn immediately to prevent a set-back or any other problems, even if the sex was not uncomfortable for you. I hope that you will do this soon. I also hope that you will be feeling better very soon. Congratulation on the new baby.
