Hi, should my wife perform cvs, for determining any fetal disorders, since we are under greater risk of having genetical disorders.

Hi, certainly she can have it done if you assume there can be any complication. Chorionic villus sampling (CVS) is a prenatal test that involves taking a tissue sample and testing it for genetically caused abnormalities. The test is performed between 10 and 12 weeks of pregnancy. It is usually offered to couples with increased risk of chromosomal or genetic birth defects. There is another test, amniocentesis that can diagnose the same birth defects. But, CVS can be performed before this one.
