im 15 years old and not sexually active yesterday. i found a BB size lumb under the skin near my scrotum. it only hurts to touch. its soft and blood red. I tried squeezing it today but only blood came out. I shave so their isn't any hairs near or on it so it cant be an inflamed hair. could it possibly be a cyst?

I'm seventeen now and have been having the same problem for about a year, I never shaved the pubic area until today attempting to get a better look at the bump. I've been searching the web extensively and the only answer I've got is that its most likely folliculitis. Also I'm not sexually active either and feared I'd contracted an STD in some off hand way but everything I've found so far says otherwise. Also the bump does not stay it comes and goes sporadically but it never reaches the actual genitals which helps the argument that it is not actually an STD. When I get more information(preferably through a clinic) I'll let you know and if u find any good information please share it with me.
