:-| Hey, I'm youngi (15) and I have this weird slimy mucus coming from the vagina every time I go to the bathroom over the past 5-6 weeks or so, it's not just near my periods or anything it's all the time, It's thick and clear coloured, a little yellow sometimes maybe but not especially yellow. It first started when I was taking penicillin for my tonsils and I thaught maybe it was to do with that or because I was sick for a while but I don't need the penicillin anymore and I'm not sick. I have to wear liners all the time too because otherwise it gets places :P What could this be? I'm not sexually active bytheway.

Yeast infection...it is common that after taking antibiotics women develop yeast infections. If its your first, see a doctor. There are otc treatments as well.

No no no... Not everything is a yeast infection. Your body is made for baby-making. If it looks like you cracked an egg open (minus the yolk of course) inside undies then its the estrogen in your body preparing nourish sperm and help them fertilize the egg you are about to release. After you release the egg your body stops the estrogen and produces another hormone to help sustain the potential baby. That's when that discharge turns a cream color and looks like lotion. If it has a bad odor or is a different color beside a light yellow or white you need to see a doctor. When you start planning for children you will need to get up close a personal with that mucus so you can see how far in stretches so you can determine when to time sex for the best chances of conceiving but let's just take it one step at a time. ;)
