Generally avoid processed food, ready to eat stuff - these contain heavy dose of preservatives and carcinogenic substances. Go for Organic, fresh farm products - the one certified to be organic. Always view the label - avoid organic stuff from corporate driven marketing - they are known to cheat. Visit a local farm or just search for people selling fresh foodstuff made locally and without any preservatices. These will be good. Same goes for poultry and milk. As for nuts, again search for companies selling organically grown stuff
