I have heard about supplement in powdered form of fruit and vegetables called Juice Plus. Everyone at my office talk about Juice Plus. What is all fuss about it? I am thinking to buy it but I would like to hear some experience first. Thanks!

I have been taking supplements of vitamins, minerals, essential fats and, less regularly, amino acids, for over two years. I stopped all these when I started to take Juice Plus. I took two fruit capsules and two vegetable capsules every day. After a week I began to notice a lack of energy that I hadn't experienced for about two years. After four weeks I decided to stop feeling so lousy and went back to my specifically designed supplement program. Week after I felt normal again.

Juice Plus is an excellent product backed by medical research. I would much rather use a supplement that includes the whole array of vitamins, minerals, phytochemicals and food enzymes that are only found in whole food. Regular vitamins are fragmented and only contain certain "vitamins" that are extracted and formed into the vitamin. At least with Juice Plus their scientific research shows that the nutrition in Juice Plus is very comparable to the "real thing". For me that is way better than any supplement on the market. It is also hebicide/pesticide and fungicide free, so its as close to organic as you can get without buying, preparing and eating all that food organically that is contained in Juice Plus. (Besides,it would be much more expensive/time consuming to do this). I purchase Juice Plus from this distributor, you can read about the research behind the product at this website. Good luck!

First Juice Plus is not a supplement. That is the one hold up for most people. Juice Plus is a whole food Nutrition. There are no chemicals or drugs in Juice Plus. It is totally organic (now) fruits and vegatables. My children and I have been taking it for a year and half now and we are off all regular perscription medicines for allergies and asthma. It will work different with different people. But it is not a vitamin. It is fruit ground down into a powder. There are hundreds of studies on it by top hospitals and universities. Look up Dr Sears. He is the doctor for Parent magazine. He tells of the benefits for kids etc.
If you want more information I will send you some.

Juice Plus, a multilevel marketed product, is garbage and its marketing is incredibly deceptive. Contrary to what the participants in this forum claimed: (a) it IS definitely a supplement (b) it is not “whole food”, it is merely "food-based" (but so are lots of unhealthy products like corn syrup and white sugar) (c) it does NOT provide a wide range of nutrients and definitely does not provide the complete range of nutrients in real fruit and vegetables, (d) it does NOT contain certified organic ingredients, (e) past research on Juice Plus was paid for and written by the manufacturer and has been widely criticized for being of poor quality and for showing many negative and ambiguous results, (f) there are not "hundreds of studies on it" as claimed by Healthy Mommy; there have been roughly a dozen studies and most were scientifically useless for a variety of reasons.

Those that refer to the product as “whole food” may be unaware of how the product is really made. It contains added vitamins that are not native to the fruit/vegetable extracts but rather are purchased from ordinary chemical supply companies and added as fortifiers to the product. Spend 5 minutes Googling to learn the truth about Juice Plus and don’t rely on BS from brainwashed distributors. They seldom say anything about the product that is true, other than how much it costs -- and it is ridiculously overpriced.

The person that wrote the garbage about Juice Plus has been more than misinformed. Thus, misinforming others. The so called google research that down plays Juice Plus is from competitors and/or from persons who do NOT have their facts straight. All the ridiculous comments of Juice Plus is a flat out LIE. I have seen many people who have benefited very well from Juice Plus...and they are NOT distributors! This IS ORGANIC whole foods from 17 fruits and veggies....juiced at low temp for preserving the natural enzymes and put in capsule form....Check out the many, many MD's who suggest using this product to increase immune system. ie...William Sears.
For what ever reason this individual wrote such garbage is misguiding others away from something that helps people across the country....
Could it be the the person who wrote the negative comments against Juice Plus is a COMPETITOR?
Very Important...eat veggies and fruits every day. It's ok to take JUICE PLUS to help it along...it's the 17 elements in combination that boosts that immune system...simply if people ate as much fruits and veggies as they SHOULD people would be a whole lot healthier.
I have learned a lot from juice plus and a big believer, Especially seeing my friends and family live healthier from this product. Shame on those who try to rip that from many lives.

Interesting that someone would get so bent out of shape in response to criticism of Juice Plus. It’s typical, however, of this ridiculous MLM vitamin cult. Every independent expert who has commented on Juice Plus has ripped it to pieces for being useless, overpriced, and deceptively marketed.

I have been taking Juice Plus since 1999. I am wondering if I need to take additional calcium, iron, etc?

In response to the person who asked about calcium, iron, etc. My understanding about these have to do with whether you are deficient. If a doctor tells you that you are calcium or iron deficient, then you should take a supplement. Otherwise, try and eat foods that are calcium and iron-rich. Avoid supplements when neccesary. Other than taking Juice Plus, you probably need to be taking fish oil everyday, to get your Omega 3's, and vitamin D, since most of America has a vitamin D deficiency (Vit. D helps us absorb calcium more effectively). You might also consider taking B12, if you do not eat enough animal products, which are the primary source of B12.

Hope this helps!

The 4-daily Juice Plus capsules provides 6% of the RDI for calcium and 4% of the RDI for iron, so if you were looking to meet RDIs by supplementing, then yes, you would need to take an additional supplement. Juice Plus is also deficient in thiamin, riboflavin, chromium, copper, magnesium, phosphorous, potassium, and zinc. This product is not a suitable replacement for a multivitamin since it fails to provide the RDI for many nutrients. It's also insanely overpriced for what it is, but that is a result of the markup needed to support the multilvel marketing structure through which the product is sold.

It's not that our bodys need vitimans, it's that they lack whole food nutrition... Juice Plus+ is 17 fruits and vegetables on a daily basis and has made a tremendous difference in the life of me and my husband... Vitimans are man made and synthetic and you can overdose on to many vitamins... It's important to get all your vitimans from a whole food source, however, if you are lacking a particular vitamin in your diet it should be discussed with your doctor and they will recommend a supplement at that time... Juice Plus+ is the most studied whole food nutritional product in the world and has the science to back it.

Juice Plus is not a whole-food product and makes no such claims on the label. The manufacturer buys pre-processed fruit and vegetable powders from secondary suppliers like Cognis and Schweizerhall and then adds supplemental vitamins to the mix. That ain't whole food mate!

My mother started selling Juice Plus a few years ago, and now she is completely brainwashed. I actually read a few of the studies and did some additional research about the product and discovered that it was not what it claimed to be. Since I made the decision to not take the product, I have gotten a lot of grief from those individuals selling it. My mother is so warped in her thinking that she has actually told me she would take away the money she has been sending me to help me pay for my college education if I don't start taking the pills!

I went to the conference in Long Beach, CA this past spring, and was astonished by how these distributors eat all the c**p that was dished out to them. Anyone with a working brain could see that it was utter propaganda, supported by nothing but their word. If the president of the company had gotten on stage and said that Juice Plus would cure ingrown toenails, the Juice Plus zombies would have believed him.

I have watched how this company ruined relationships time and time again. These people become so pushy and aggressive that it's no wonder their friends of 25 years don't want to have anything to do with them anymore. In their minds there are only two types of people, those who take Juice Plus, and those who are doomed to die of a disease Juice Plus could have prevented. They claim that since taking the product, they've never been sick. When my mother finally did get sick, I called her on it, and she just said "well if I wasn't on Juice Plus I would have been a lot sicker."

:$ I totally agree with you. My Mom has been selling for about 3 years now and her pushiness and blindly following the distributors above her is getting ridiculous! She got really mad when I decided not to buy the product anymore. With the three types of capsules they sell it was about $55 per month! I would rather have a gym membership for that! My wife is a nurse and she doesn't see much in the product either but my Mom continually talks about all the "research" and how many doctors now recommend the product. My wife is at the point where she wants to avoid talking to her mother-in law because she always brings up juice plus!
