My son developed a hydrocele at the age of 3, and I has told that it was a closed communication by the urologist at the children's hospital. I was told that it would never drain on it's own, but chose not to have the surgery, at least until he was old enough to understand, preferably to choose for himself.
He is now five, and it had never changed. It has suddenly 'drained'. I'm not sure if I should be overly concerned or not? I've not had much luck trying to calling the urologist's office, and I'm wondering if I should continue trying, or if this is no big deal.
Thanks in advance for any help!
