About a year and a half ago I had hydrocele removal surgery after being hit in the right testicle. Both testicles were the same size before the trauma, but after the hit the right testicle was larger (about a little less than twice the size of the left). I went into surgery about two weeks after the hit and the hydrocele was removed (no more fluid, looked fine, no big deal) but the testicle was still the same size. The doctors told me everything was fine and that within several months the swelling should go down and the testicle should return to its original size but so far it hasn't changed, if not gotten slightly larger. I'm not experiencing any pain or discomfort other than the testicle slightly sticks out of my jeans and I'm worried about it being exposed to any more trauma, and my other testicle rests behind my penis, (and is more restricted when in clothing which I know can be unhealthy because the scrotum can't manage its temperature effectively). I'm assuming its a combination of scar tissue and something else. I read that it chould be a blocked epidydimis which isn't the worst of things, but its not only the epidydimis that's swollen its the whole damn testicle. There are areas that feel a little lumpy, but not specifically a growth (like a tumor would) its like its filled with too much stuff and its stretched at the seams. It's large, hard (not slightly maleable like a healthy testicle, its strait up rigid with a tiny bit of give near the surface) and feels a little like its not formed correctly. My question is would scar tissue from the hit cause this growth, is there some internal trauma, or should I get my ass to a urologist?

Hey guys, I'm scheduled for double hydrocele surgery in 10 days. I have the same problem. I was in a car accident about 6 weeks ago. After the accident, my right testicle became very swollen and hard. I'm thinking of having the hydrocele on the left repaired and just having the right testicle removed because I'm afraid it wont return to normal even after the hydrocele is repaired. If yours has started returning to normal by now, I would appreciate hearing back from you>
