I wasn't sure where else to put htis, so I'll ask here.

I was recently sick. I had a sore throat and eventually began vomiting. It finally went away after about a week, but now my boyfriend has it. But instead of just having a severe sore throat and some nausea, He's VERY hot, but continuously says he's freezing and shivering! So what I was wondering was What malady this most likely is, and if it seems bad enough for him to see a doctor (we don't have any insurance) and what ways best to help him get over it. I'm not sure if turning the heat up and keeping him under two blankets is actually good when he's burning up all over.

you need to make sure he is kept cold, despite shivering, make him drink loads and loads of water, if his temperature doesn't go down, then definitely to a doctor.

When I was between the ages of 2-6 I used to have seizures from over heating, and my mum used to have to make me 'freeze' in order for me to cool down, a high temperature is much more dangerous to you than shivering.

if it really is unbearable, use a very thin sheet just to cover.

hope you both feel better!
