I am hoping someone out there has advice or words of wisdom from experience? I have been having a real problem with spasms of the mandibula-trismus and it is making me feel all worried about how to carry on. Is a spasm of the mandibula-trismus the first sign of tetanus? I am asking here because I am hoping someone has had some experience with this.

Spasms in the mandibular-trismus can be a sign of a tetanus infection, yes, and since this isn't some theoretical problem but something that is happening to you right now, the only advice I have is to get OFFLINE and to the ER straight away. Tetanus can be very serious if left untreated, which is why you need to get yourself down there while treatment is still relatively simple! Please let us know how you are after you have been to the doctor!
