I had a stent inserted in my bile duct attached with tubing emptying into small intestinem It has been in there for one year. It has a life span of 1 year. What's next?

Have you spoken to your doctor about the next steps to take? I know that if it has a lifespan of a year then it should be about time for you to check in. I know that the actual lifespan would be a little longer than a year or something like that so it's not like the stent will fall out precisely one year after you've had it put in but it is important that you see your doctor as soon as possible so that you can get this removed/changed. Does anyone else have a stent?
