Hi,
My wife recently delivered a healthy baby boy. After about a month she started having severe back pains & subsequently started vomiting during those attacks as well. At first we thought that it was because of incorrect posture while feeding the baby & since it was a c-section we thought it could also be because of the anesthesia & it's after effects. We were told that muscle's are a little lax after childbirth. But now we have found out that she has about 4 stones in her bile-duct. We were told by our physician that for some women it happens after pregnancy. I am really worried.
1.) Is Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy the only option?
2.) Are there any other effective treatments available?
3.) Is the gall bladder removed completely during this procedure?
4.) If so what are the after effects?
5.) Would it be a hindrance to her normal life?
6.) Would she be able to eat whatever she used to eat. She is a vegetarian ?
7.) What is post-operative care in this case ?
8.) I've heard that after the removal bowel movements become irregular.
How far is this true?
Please help!
Thanks & Regards
