I've had the same thing. Came off Yasmin a week and a half ago... I've gained 8lb!! It's definitely hormonal inbalance so I've ordered some well woman tablets to help my body get back to normal. Fingers crossed

The SAME thing happened to me! I have a very active job in a rehab office & I do very heavy workouts (a lot of cardio and light weight training) I eat super clean and after the pill everything went downhill. One of my doctors said it could be because my testosterone went up due to the estrogen not being provided by my pill I was taking. I was 127 lbs and naturally have curves and now I'm 142. (Yes, if can be muscle, but I don't LOOK like I even workout) it's very hard. Same thing happened to my sister and she regulated eventually

How long did it take for your sister to eventually regulate? And did she have to diet and exercise harder than she normally would or did it just come off with time?

I have the same issue. I started birth control pills in the summer of 2015 and had an appt with my PCP that following December. Well I had high blood pressure at the appt and it caused my doctor to worry. I had monthly appts to get my blood pressure taken. It was high pretty much everytime I went there, so they put me on meds. They weren't working so they upped the dosage a couple times. After months of tests my PCP and gyno decided that my birth control was the reason. I didn't think it was. Sometimes my Bp was actually lower after taking BC. But they were convinced, so January of this year (2017), my gyno discontinued my BC. She thought that the hormones in the pills were causing my blood pressure to increase. She wanted me to switch to the non hormonal BC which includes the shot, patch, nuva ring, or iud. I refused them all because I liked being on the pill. I knew when my period would be and when it would be done. Which is what I wanted because I went on it because I had horrible cramps and my periods were unpredictable. Sometimes I had it 2x/month. I told my doctors I rather not be on BC at all and they're like, no you can't. Anyway, I weighed 163lbs in February and somehow ballooned to 182 according to my scale. The weight seems to be in ny abdomen and not my lower stomach. I've been eating healthier and kinda exercising. I have never been this heavy. Its depressing. Help

This is my story (I'll make it brief). I stopped the pill, felt awesome! Some months later I started gaining weight though I had not changed my diet. After going to several doctors for months, getting bad skin and 30Ib (more than 15kg!) I went to the gynaecologist and discovered I had PCOS (which I had to tell her I had it because there was no other explanation!) though I have regular periods! So I asked for Diane 35 (which is kinda prohibit here in Europe but it is the only one that works for me!) and demanded (after doing all the exams) metformine. I am still heavy yet not increasing. Noticed my tummy went down, skin is getting better! There are many healthy treatments that I'll start trying soon. I wanted to update you guys just to let you know.

when you have hormonal imbalance your energy goes way down (usually with PCOS). I felt like every day I was a zombie who had just woken up from the dead! No one understood!

I am 45 and stopped the pill 2 months ago, I also have put on 7 pounds and I'm afraid it's going to get worse

Did it get better?? Did you get blood tests, found any cause for the weight gain? Lost any of it? I am crying every night because of this happening to me in the exact same way. :, (

OMG!!! I feel so much better now after reading this! The same thing has happened to me! I stopped taking the pill and put on 25 lbs over 6 months. I've increased my work outs and I'm only eating 900 calories a day and it's all healthy food. I can't get this weight off no matter what I do. It seem we all pretty much have the same story.
Solution.... I'm going back on the pill agai.

I am literally in the same exact boat. Stopped taking it this year and have gained ~10lbs. I was training for a marathon and you'd think with all that extra running I'd lose weight.

I am experiencing the same issue! Tons of weight gain after stopping birth control pills. Has your weight fallen off yet? If so, did it come off quickly or slowly? I've been off the pill now for about 6 weeks as I've gained almost 10 pounds - along with some les enjoyable mood swings.

I have gained approximately 20lbs in 2 months of being off the pill. I was on the pill for 13 years. Prior to the weight gain, I was a Crossfit competitor, health nut, avid macros tracker, etc. I had a six pack and extreme muscle definition. I look like a totally different woman now, with the same diet and exercise as I had before going off the pill. I live in a small town where there are few doctors, and the doctors who are here are horrible. I've decided to go back on the pill and will report back after a few weeks. I am so depressed and I feel so hopeless. I don't feel like myself and I hate the way I look. When I'm ready for babies, I'll go back off for good. But at 26, I shouldn't feel and look this way. Especially given my fitness level and diet.
