I am willing to run a 20km marathon race and I would like to consult with you, women runners, what to use to stop the birth control before the marathon? I’ve been preparing a lot for the race and I don’t want to spoil it at the end. So please, any advice would be helpful, although I intend to visit my gynecologist for the details.

As I understand you have never used a pill before? I think the right thing is to speak with your doctor and he can prescribe you the right ones to use. There are many types of birth control pills and they all differ according to the quantity of hormones which they consist of. You can’t start using the ones which I or anyone else recommends you, the only one to do it can be your doctor, because different bodies reacts differently. Also, a certain type of pill can induce the period as early as you wish. You have to take them for 5 days and after a couple of days you get period and that is how you can avoid it during marathon, but once again see your doctor.
