I stopped taking the suboxone. I was taking 2 mg everyother day last week. Now it has been over 38 hours since my last dose. I feel ok just really tired. I took adderall to take that away and naproxe for aches. I am soooooooooo scared reading the withdrawals posts that I am go to feel sick soon that it makes me want to get more and try tapering off longer. Do some people exaggerate the symptoms or were they on it longer. I was only on it for 2 1/2 months.

Hi:
My information states that there are some 30 reported symptoms. Medical professionals advise that you taper off of it slowly. It sounds like that is what you plan to do. You will have to be prepared for some discomfort. Get a support person or group to help you thru this. You've got to stick with it. Refer to some of the other people who've posted about their experiences as they are or have wihdrawn from suboxone. Their posts will be extremely helpful. Quitting will only bring you back to this place, perhaps in a worse position. Try to prepare yourself mentally. It's just a few weeks out of your life, but years of healthy living for the rest of your life. I know that you can do this. Please read the other posts for support and try to find a person or a group to walk with you thru this. Good luck to you. Please keep us updated on your progress.

It's really dependent on the person. Sure, there are symptoms of withdrawal, but it can happen different to everyone. It's best to not assume that people are not exaggerating so much as having different symptoms and different experiences than you're having. I mean, everyone is different! Our body chemistries make some things easier and other things harder. For example, I know some people who get sick on codeine--that doesn't make them weak, it just means they're made differently. How is it going for you?
