swelling feet & lower legs-alcohol or narcotic withdrawa

My daughter is on suboxone and prozac 60 mg is is also experiencing foot, ankle and calf swelling. Both of these drugs are new to her and I think this could be the problem. She is going back to the doctor today after being a prescribed diaretic,Lafic, for three days and she still has swelling.

Yes,Have had swelling around ankles and lower legs that I suspected was due to taking suboxone. I believe it is from the naloxone component of the compound. The naloxone is there to prevent abuse (injecting or sniffing) the bupenorphine component of of the compound known as suboxone.

legs swelling so bad I cannot walk. second time this happen in years. its from minor overdose.

buprenorphine is subutex, and naloxone is more soluble than bupe in water

That is exactly what just happened to me, sleeping in recliner(sitting up) and my ankles are very swollen. Hope it goes away. This is the first time it's happened to me and I've been taking like 4-8mgs a day for like 3-4 years. I'm worried.

It is so sad that this drug is advertised as such a miracle addiction cure. My boyfriend had to start using heroin again to ween himself of Bup. He had terrible withdrawals with Bup that lasted over 3 weeks and he just couldn't get off the last milligram every other day. It was easier for him to switch back to heroin and then ween off heroin. That says a lot about this legal drug!!! And his doctor wouldn't prescribe him smaller doses!! He had to do it himself against his doctors wishes. That stuff is poisen!

I have been through this and I still now have to take furosemide due to being prescribed Prozac 100 mg from a psychiatrist. My blood pressure shot up and I swear I swelled like the girl from Willie Wonka . Get her to change to a different different antidepressant that's not in the Prozac family... Sounds little like he just wanted excuss to go to heroin again let me guess he was shooting the subs? I was on subs for 4 yrs had some leg swelling from water retention and I decided I was over it and got off subs I went through hard withdrawls about 2weeks and minor for 1 month all was manageable and that was with out ween my friend went through the ween and went 2 weeks minor then was fine ..someone else a shooter of subs got off it aND WENT THROUGH 6 MONTHS LIGHT WITHDRAWLS AND 4 weeks super rough with drawls and ended up heroin relapsing 1 yr later!

lets get this straight Buprenorphine is a partial agonist with a ceiling of 32mg, no matter what form what the pills called or patch etc ..or how they are delivered the naloxone does f**k all for lets say an 8mg/2mg Suboxone......I have seen someone shoot up one of these over a decade ago and I was just waiting for that withdrawal to hit,,never did he said it was almost like heroin...........after that day I knew Naloxone was a scare tactic.....but buprenorphine by itself say a subutex even is the drug that makes you sick as hell if you take it while on methadone but you can take suboxne subutex and take methadone no prob\
