Hi I am a 24 year old male. I had a prolonged masturbation session 2 years ago where I caused friction over the sensitive underside of the foreskin. It became swollen and has remained so. It is usually not reddish unless irritated and can be relatively colorless most of the time. It is most apparent when flaccid. There is also now a white band wrapping around my penis that is visible whenever the foreskin is pulled back completely. The whole swelling makes the underside of the foreskin look alot larger than it should when flaccid. If I masturbate too much again it gets worse. My glans is not affected by any swelling and seems normal.

Hello, Napoleon.
It sounds like you may have developed some complications due to the prolonged friction during the masturbation session. The persistent swelling and the appearance of a white band might indicate the presence of scar tissue or another underlying issue.
Possible conditions that could be related to your symptoms include:
-
Phimosis: This is a condition where the foreskin is too tight and difficult to retract over the glans (head of the penis). It can lead to swelling and discomfort.
-
Balanitis: This is an inflammation of the glans and foreskin, which can be caused by various factors, including irritation and infection.
-
Post-inflammatory scarring: Prolonged friction and irritation can lead to scarring in the affected area.
To address your concerns and receive appropriate treatment, consider scheduling an appointment with a urologist or a healthcare professional who specializes in men's health. They will be able to examine you, provide a proper diagnosis, and offer the best course of action, which may include lifestyle changes, medications, or other treatments if necessary.
In the meantime, it might be helpful to avoid activities that exacerbate the swelling, such as excessive masturbation, and practice good genital hygiene.

You didn't notice that your penis became bent or curved during erection? That is indication of Peyronie's disease, which is one more possible cause of your condition.
Over-the-counter treatments are unlikely to be effective if you have an underlying condition that needs medical management. Consult with a doctor who can perform an examination, possibly run some tests, and determine the best course of treatment based on your individual situation. Treatment could range from topical creams or ointments, to antibiotics if there's an infection, or in some cases, surgical intervention.

My erection is the same as before. There is no doubt the swelling was caused by one session of excessive masurbation. It was perfectly normal before and swollen after. I should mention that I had parphimosis when I was about 15 for about a month. I had just managed to be able to stretch foreskin behind the head after doing stretching for a while. I masturbated in this position and it caused the same type of swelling I have now. Except then it was much worse and prevented the foreskin from going back over the glans. After a month I finally forced it back over the glans and the swelling was gone and everything back to normal after two weeks at most. My current problem is the same type of swelling but milder and definitely caused by the same thing. I first thought it would go away like the parphimosis swelling but it hasn't. Though my foreskin can retract over the glans and return over the glans this time there is a bit of tightness felt.

Cold Compress: Applying a cold compress or ice wrapped in a cloth (to prevent frostbite) can help reduce the swelling. This might make it easier to move the foreskin back to its normal position.
Gentle Pressure: Try to squeeze the head of the penis (glans) gently to force out the blood and reduce its size, then attempt to move the foreskin forward. Use lubrication if available.
Do NOT tie or wrap anything around the penis to try to reduce the swelling, as this could further restrict blood flow and worsen the condition.
Lubrication: Using lubricant can sometimes help in easing the foreskin back to its original position. The lubricant can be applied to the glans and the inner surface of the retracted foreskin.
Osmotic method: This involves applying a hypertonic solution like mannitol or sugar to the swollen glans. This can help in drawing out the fluid and reducing the swelling, making it easier to pull the foreskin back over the glans.
Remember, your condition is a medical emergency. The risk of complications, including tissue death from restricted blood flow, makes it essential to treat promptly. Have you scheduled a check-up?
