i had a circumcision about four months ago. even now, however, the frenulum (gland behind the head) is swollen and feels a bit uncomfortable to the touch. erections and urination is not a problem though, i am just wondering if this is normal or if there is a way to correct this. my urologist said i should be ok, but i would like a second opinon.

Hi there,
I just got to your post as I was circumsiced 4 weeks ago.
How are you now? Did the swelling go away?
My frenulum is also inflamed after 4 weeks and I started to worry.
Thanks mate

I doubt that poster is still watching after 7 years. I can tell you that it sometimes takes months for a person to recover from surgery to get back to normal again. Doctors do not seem to be very good a relaying that kind of information to patients. I've had a couple surgeries and never got much of any useful answers to my questions let alone information about what to expect before hand.
I hope they removed your frenulum completely as I have heard of many guys who have trouble with it being too tight and somewhat painful. It seems some doctors don't cut it well enough to relieve that.

Thank you for your reply!
You're right, it's unlikely the poster will be following this post after such long time.
My frenulum was not removed at all.
I don't have any problems with it. It doesn't hurt at all when I'm hard.
It just that it still looks inflamed from the operation. It definitely doesn't look the same prior the operation.
