hi I'm 17 and thinking about having sex for the frist time. He's 18 and a virgin to were not dating just friends and want to do it. I was just wondering if I'm making the right choice and do u have any helpful ways to make it less painful I'm really scared of the that.

don't do it! for 2 big reasons:
1) you can only be a virgin and give it away once
2) it'll ruin your friendships
wait until you find someone you really care about - no one can tell you're a virgin and there is no need to rush into it! i'd wait if i were you, it's much more satisfying if its with someone you care about. the fear of it hurting wont be so big then.
however, if you do decide you cannot wait, make sure you use a condom! sex does hurt for most girls the first few times so just relax and make sure you do enough foreplay to make you lubricated enough (another reason to wait for someone who really excites you!) or use a personal lube like ky jelly!
also dont be afraid to say no if you're not happy - its your choice after all!

Now that you are thinking of having sex, think and plan on getting on to two forms of birth control, the pill and some other internal item to use both all the time. You are well over the age to get birth control without your parents’ knowledge or have to do anything for you.
make a appointment a & Go to a planned parenthood clinic, if you need to have a girlfriend or this male friend go with you, so he will know more about birth control. Plan on taking the pills for about 3 to 6 months before have the un-condom sex you are wishing to have.
Rule for Intercourse; some important ones
1) Have the proper time to enjoy both of yourselves, weekend at a friends' place gone for the days or a summer house
2) Take your time, don’t rush and get it over with.
3) Proper place; the beach sand or grassy woods are not the place.
4) Be protected with at least a condom or two
5) Have the nervousness taken care of; by mostly the other rule have been followed.
You can always have him give you oral contact, if he know how to properly. that way, you will still be a virgin and have some type of sex contact. LOL
