I am a relatively healthy 52 year old man. When I sit or lay down I have tingling under my feet. The area of tingling is limited to the front part of my heels. What would cause this and what would you suggest I do? thank you so much!

You may have the beginning symptoms of sciatica. Stretching and regular physical exercise that strengthens your back, hips and legs may be helpful. It may not be a bad idea to have x-ray densitometry performed on your spine and hips if you have not already done so.

Those symptoms are rather vague. How long has this started going on? I think hoseclamps is onto something there, but it could also be a number of other issues, such as poor circulation or gout as well. I think your best bet is if it persists to see a doctor about it for early treatment options. Without getting your full picture, it would be a bad idea for me to attempt to diagnose you--and I'm not a doctor anyway! Either way, keep us posted on your treatment. Best of luck to you.
