methadone and oxycodone: I've been on methadone for several years after my concerns about tolerance to oxycontin and percocet. I started at 110mg. Past 5months taking 80mg., sometimes less. Severe lower back problems. Dr. added percocet 10mg. 4x/day when I had to do a lot of physical activity- Noticed tolerance to percocet immediately unless I took 40mg. at one time-then would not take any more. Presently after a horrendous accident with multiple compound fx. and hardware(which broke and I refractured) my pain was unbearable. Increased to oxycodone 30 qid. This has been nearly a year. Now I can take oxycodone 150mg. at one time and get pain relief for 4 hours. Is this tolerance crazy? Plus with new regs Dr. is decreasing oxy. I'm in frequent agony?! HELP.
