yes thats totally normal. mine stayed swollen for 3 whole weeks because I kept eating normal food and played with it a lot. keep eating watery food for at least 5more days and it'll be fine :)

Mine hurt too after a while. Just wash it with mouth wash like, a lot. and suck on ice and cold water. (:
