i just qot my tonque pierced 2 weeks aqo and everythinqs been fine , but this week i noticed a small reddish rinq of tiny bumps on the riqht side of my tonque towards the tip. i've been doinq some research and thouqht it miqht be tonque cancer or qeoqraphic tonque "/ my mother seem to think it miqht be because of the recent chanqe in mouthwash , i was usinq a non-alcoholic mouthwash but felt like the alcoholic one would really keep the piercinq clean. i stopped usinq the mouthwash in hope that she miqht be riqht. should i see a doctor??? Alcohol in the mouthwash can be very harsh to the tongue and inner lining of the mouth. I believe non-alcoholic mouthwash can work just as good. The bumps on the right side of your tongue may have been a mild infection if that side of your tongue had been accidentally nicked during the piercing by an unclean instrument. Wait a little while, and if the bumps don't go away, see a doctor.

This is probably an irritation from the mouthwash. I agree with hoseclamps. Stop using an alcoholic mouthwash and wait a few days. If bumps are still there it would be the best to go and see a doctor. Maybe your piercing is not good.
