Hi i recently had sex for the first time and afterwards i noticed a small tare in what i believe is my labia frenulum. It isn't bleding or hurting, but i was wondering if i should worry about it or not

Hi Mandy! I'm not a doctor, so let me put that out there right away. I think, for your first time, this is probably very normal. Just make sure you keep it clean (even just a wash cloth with clean or sterile water will work. Just make sure that you wipe down, away from your vagina and that you never use the same side of the cloth more than once). I am much older than you and I have this problem all the time. I should probably see a doc, but they'll most likely tell you to use more lubrication -which I already do- and that makes you feel like YOU are the one doing something wrong. I once had a doc tell me it was a hygiene problem. What? What does he know about my hygiene? I'm very, very careful down there. But don't let me scare you. Get to PP or a clinic, just to check it out. Planned Parenthood is mostly women and they are very sensitive to embarassing questions, particularly for young girls and women. Just don't worry too much.
