I had my surgery on July 4th and am very happy to say that there were absolutely no complications. My vocal cords are intact and I can speak normally. My parathyroid is also intact and my calcium levels are normal. According to my surgeon, the thyroid was the size of small plums on each side. I have no pain just a little tightness but after I take the tylenol 3's it ease off nicely. I was put on thyrozine on Saturday and I seem to be adjusting well.
