The following seems to have worked for me. I got a bunch of cheap sheets and towels so I could wash and dry the heck out of them. Changed bedding, and cleaned the floor every day. Whenever I handled soiled bedding/towels, I wore rubber gloves and washed them afterward. Actually, I bathed morning and night, and changed towel and washcloth each time. Whenever there was an itch in the anal and vaginal area, I did one of two things: (1) wash area thoroughly with soap and hot water. I got a pile of cheap washcloths for this. Each washcloth you use goes in the wash. Don’t leave it lying around!!! (2) make sure area was dry and applied food grade diatomaceous earth (d.e.), which cuts them to ribbons unless it gets wet. This I did in the middle of the night if I didn’t feel like getting up to wash. More itch, apply more, cut those suckers up! Try not to inhale the d.e. because it’s not really good for your lungs. If you get the area wet, dry well and apply more. My doctor told me it could irritate your skin, so try not to rub it in. Itch on body: also apply d.e. Hair: wash with dandruff shampoo with sulfur and leave it on ten minutes to kill the rotters. If you feel an itch during the day, apply pure aloe. For itch in ears, I either pour/apply the aloe or, for really active rotters, pour in some oil and leave it in (tilt your head) for 10 minutes to suffocate the evil one. For itch in nostrils: aloe didn’t seem to work that well, so I applied boroleum (and aloe just outside). Boroleum is used to mentholate/moisten your nostrils when the air is too dry. It doesn’t suffocate them , so I would apply it, then use a lint-free cloth (pieces of old tee shirt) to wipe it + them out with. Then wash the evil one out of the cloth. Don’t use a tissue because it could leave some fibers that itch and you’d think it was one of those evil ones. Eyes: I didn’t have that problem, but I understand that pure aloe is gentle enough for delicate eye tissue. Just keep chipping away at their battalions, and you can ultimately destroy the entire fleet! Through experience, I can tell you that if you can’t put some things in the dryer, stick them in a big trash bag for a month to give them enough time to die. Don’t put it on too soon because there might be a fleet of eggs just lying in wait. And I wore shoes everywhere.

I wonder if you ever solved this problem? I have the exact same problem even though the pinworm is treated. The itching is mild but is driving me crazy. Did you ever discover why this occurs? I wonder if the skin in this area is damaged- sore/sensitive/itchy- from the pinworms and will just take time to heal. Please share any insight. I would so appreciate it.

Hello All,  I have been in misery for two years now. Been to several Dr.s spent hundreds of dollars. All Dr.s tk a few pills will cure what ailes u, and after that its all in ur mind, not real. What happened to listening to ur patience????? I had a fungus maybe from the scabies n pin-worms I had. I have resorted to looking for home remedies online, instead of wasting money with dr.s.
Im almost cleared up with the scabies the Dr.s said I didnt have, after I had a cradle cap of them on my head. I have several scars on my body. I have tried everything imaginable and some thats not to rid these two parasites. Ive even contemplated suicide a couple times to rid the agony I was going thu. I had such a fungus it affected the way I thought.  Its been a few months now since decided to quite giving dr.s my money and treat myself, Its been slow process, BUT finally seeing results. I feel for all who suffering, and pray for your wellness. And sad to know CDC no help either, I called them crying left number still waiting for a call Back<LOL  There is no such Dr for parasites maybe all us that have suffered and found relief should start our own HELP CENTER. So let me tell you what has help me so might help others suffering. Get  First Aid Antiseptic Solution from ur local Freds store its cheapest Ive found less than $4, same thing at Wally is $12. Rub whole body before bedtime , put on a sweat suit from Wally exercise isle. This will kill the fungus the worms have made on ur skin. I also applied it to my ears and head and face.  Bath urself in vinagar and take 2 tble spons a day, along with minced garlis u can buy in a jar. Take shower when first get up, and drink a cup of tea or cofee, with honey and few drop of clove oil.  Then get food grade of DE and take daily with meals, it takes time but will evenually c results. As for the atmospere I use AMMONIA it doesnt stain and cant spray everything. Wash everything touched daily in hot water n use a dryer. Pray this will help us all. AMEN.....

Ask your doctor to give you a cream, that will stop the itching. Or just get Over-the-Counter, medications. Sometimes pinworms are cured but they still have planted eggs that itch A LOT! trust me i've had them.

Hope it helped-Sadie

I have been suffering through a pinworm infection for God knows how long. It seems like it's been going on for months, and if you'll forgive the slight pun, I can't "pinpoint" an exact date when it started... I went through hell trying to get a prescription from my doctor, he first prescribed me something that has not been manufactured for almost a year, or so the pharmacy told me. It took another week to get Albenza, or Albendazole, which I'm taking now with only four days left on the regimen. It was 28 pills, two a day for two weeks. Does that sound normal? I wasn't sure because most treatments I've read about online say it's usually one dose and then another dose a week or two weeks later. I suppose Albendazole is different. Anyway, like I said, I have four days left of treatment and I am still experiencing slight itching during the day, mostly after a bowel movement. I am no longer experiencing intense itching at night, which I think is a good sign, but why would they stop at night and not during the day? I'm stressed out over this, I just want it to stop.

As for those inquiring about vaginal pinworm infections, I believe I read somewhere that says once they migrate to the vagina, they still have to return to the intestine to feed. They eat nutrients from your fecal matter, I think. So, they cannot fully function in your vaginal area, they merely moved in to lay more eggs. They still have to eat, and they won't find what they're looking for in there, so they will return to the anus. Assuming you are taking medication to eliminate the ones in your anus/intestine, the ones that are in your vagina will eventually be affected by the medicine once they resume their feeding in the intestine. Or at least, that's what I've read. I hope this helps!

I've had these horrid uninvited guests for almost 6 months now and have tried just about everything to get rid of them including the 3 types of meds, DE, vinegar and vinegar douches, icy hot, yeast infection cream mixed with DE, plus clove, black walnut, garlic, zinc, and wormwood pills.

The meds didn't work and the internal diseases specialist I went to thinks I'm a hypochondriac (my pinworm test came up negative of course), so I'm truly hoping that if I keep taking the DE and herbal pills, they'll work eventually.Fortunately I don't have much anal itch anymore, but my nose and ears are itching. One thing that has made the squirming more bearable is, I wedge a vaginal wipe into the length of my southern region and it dulls the feeling of their movement (and helps me concentrate at work). I do have to use a maxi pad with it though, so the moisture from the wipe fabric doesn't soak through my pants.

I cannot fathom why modern scientists have not created a 100% foolproof drug or procedure that can help people with these drug-resistant strains. I imagine I may have these things for years or decades. Goodbye dating life. So depressing.
