Tubes tied, pregnancy test says positive, symptoms are here,

reading these posts and I had to write for my own peace of mind, having similar symptoms. I'm 47 was tested for menopause a year ago and was negative. Have recently become sexually active after a year and now my period is 2 weeks late. I"m like clockwork normally for my period, even through 4 pregnancies this never changed. Now I am feeling sick to my stomach periodically, tired, tenderness, smells of some foods make me feel sick. Now the kicker is.. I had a tubal, cut and tied, 18 years ago. I had been married for 14 years to a man that couldn't have children, but now am with a new man.. I'm wondering could I be pregnant? If I am it would be a blessing and would be very happy about it. How long should I wait to have a test done and what is the most reliable one to determine if this is the situation I am in? any advice would be appreciated.

Things like this happen all the time there are billions of sperm released off a single ejaculation just because your tubes are tied does'nt mean it could never happen. All it takes is one to squeeze through tied or not. I also heard that after having your tubes tied you can still get pregnant for up to two years. So lets just say getting your tubes tied is'nt a hundred percent and if the little guy made it through that is a baby that deserves to live!

same here..I have had my tubes tied for 7 yrs now and i actually dont remember if i just had them tied or more..but I havent had a period in 2 and half months, I feel preg. have had alot of the signs of one, I took 4 hpt test all neg. I did do some spotting last 2 days but not enough to even come out on a pad so i didnt bother with one...the last actual period i had was 3 weeks late and light, one before that was light and a couple days late...here recentally I have been feeling movement inside of me...now I have had 3 kids I know wut movement feels like, in fact any women who has had more then 1 knows...my whole family says I am just imagining it...I am currently getting divorced and with a new man and we discussed we didnt want no more when we met, but now that this is going on, I want just one more with him...He cant see his kids right ( their choice ) and I would love for him to be able to have one around as well as my daughter have a sister...{ i have 2 boys , 1 girl }...anyone else like this and I also do have no insruance to be able to be checked yet...

Hi I have had my tubes tied for 13 years and I have not have a period in 1 month. I took 3 pregnancy test and all negative.My last period was light and only 3 day. My belly is getting big i cant sleep on it, my boobs don't hurt somtime they do and do tingle at time.Anyone have any advise on what may be happening to me?

I just want to let you ladies know that I am experiencing the same thing. I got my tubes tied almost 5 yrs and I have always being small. All of a sudden, I start having pregnacy symptoms. I have taken many home tests and also from the doctors' offices. They all say NEGATIVE!!! I am also going insane along 5 other kids. So if someone find the answer to my question, please let me know.

I need help with that same question.....my tubes are tied and have been for threes years right after I had my daughter, My period is 3 weeks late and the home preg. test came back negative, but I never missed a period since forever unless i was pregnant. my friend is a nurse who had the same thing done.. but she has had sum other health problems and so they were checking somhing when they told her she was pregnant in her tubes. that the "baby" didnt make it to where it needed to be because the tube had been cut so short that whe her body "healed itself the tubes grew back together"

Get the Doctor to do an ultrasound maybe it is a tubal pregnancy which could be very dangerous.

I had my tubes tied 6 years ago. Now I have been 2 months late with my period and have gained 10 pounds. Test all come back neg. Went to DR and same thing neg. I am not sure what is going on. I need some help with this.

I have the same problem I've had my tubes tied 5 1/2 years and feeling like I'm pregnant. My doctors think I'm crazy and tell me no way but I look like I sollowed a basketball. My family doctor is finally sending me for a ultra sound on tuesday. and home and blood work all came back neg.

i have 3 boys ages 8, 4, & 9 months the day after having my last son on July 7th i had my tubes cut & burnt (i believe) well i am now 2 weeks late & this is VERY unusual for me its ALWAYS on the 10th of every month like CLOCK WORK!! well usually my signal that im pregnant is my boobs get sore but i just had a breast augmentation 5 months ago so i cant tell if they are sore from that or what but i havent gotten nauseated yet im really sleepy during the day!! if i am pregnant than this is Gods way of telling me hes not done blessing me but if im NOT pregnant then WHAT COULD IT BE?!?!?

To a question to every women's problem is are the doctor's actually doing the surgery right or are they just guessing? Men do not have the same problem as the women seem to be having. My mom has had her tubies tied, clipped, and burnt. Then again we think that she is pregnant. So whats the deal on getting sterile when hafe of the time it does not work. Beats me. If you figure it out let me know.

I am 30 years old and had my tubes clamped when I had my last (of3) child. i had a ovary removed 4years ago (PCOS) I went to the Dr thinking I have food poisoning and it turns out that I'm pregnant. While I had considered getting a tubal reversal, I hadn't gotten past the considering part. I am excited and scared. I don't know how far I am because I just had my period last week, but my Hcg level keeps doubling (481, 1096, 1821) but the Dr. fears it maybe a tubal. We can't find the little guy in the tube or uterus. Has this happen to anyone before?

I just had a baby 7 months ago i had my tubes tied the day after i had her, I also have a 5 yr old I haven't missed my period but i am having all the symptoms i had wit my other 2 and i have tht feeling to i never used a preg test before i had my tubes tied so this is all new to me I don't want anymore kids I can't afford it and if i do end up preggo i will have to give it up, my friend said that she has a friend that had the same prob and she also had a period to so i am not sure do i just go to the doctor or do i get a test ? I am kinda freaking out right now %-)

So I see lots of questions, but no answers! Is their a doctor/moderator? No one says if they ever did get a positive result, so I assume people in my boat...tubes tied and late period, experiencing pregnancy symptoms.....are not pregnant? My guess is...if you were pregnant and had a miracle after tubes tied baby, you would announce it, so again, I assume you all are not pregnant?

To all who have their tubes tied and WANT to get pregnant, you have two options:

1. Have tubal ligation reversal surgery. It may work, but their is a high chance of ectopic pregnancy because the little fertilized egg can get "stuck" in the newly attached surgical site that will inevitably have scar tissue (ever seen a person with sewed back on finger or something without a scar?...No you haven't!)

2. IVF. In vitro fertilization. That is when they stimulate your ovaries to put out lots of eggs, they extract the eggs via a needle (you are sleeping and or out of it via drugs) and combine the egg with your man's sperm in a little dish. A few days later, they implant the potential little one(s) into your uterus. I was a gestational surrogate, so I had the little fertilized eggs implanted in me for someone else. They put 3 in, and 2 grew to full term babies! IVF works, but it's expensive, and the heart-wrenching disappointment if you do not get pregnant the first time (which happens often) is horrible. You have to try again, but you have to go through all the hormone injections, etc, again. And of course, dish out more cash. BTW, the reversal is also costly. Insurances don't pay because we ladies made a poor decision to have a permanent procedure to not have more kids and then changed our minds. That's not part of the deal! LOL! You have to pay for "your bad!"

I am remarried and hope to get pregnant via IVF soon. We are in the process of saving up the 10,000 it costs to try. If it doesn't work the second try, we are adopting.
