Helllloo, I am three weeks late on my period, ive gotten two slightly positive home pregnancy tests and some negatives as well. I also had an ultra sound done would of been at five weeks, if correct, and they said my uterus wall was thicker than expected. I asked what that meant they said that it happens when you are about to have a period, but I haven't had my period yet. Its been a week and a half since the ultrasound. When I told my obgyn that I got slight positives, one was a instant line very slight but darker than the first then went away with in the time then came back, she ordered me to do a blood test, took that this Monday, results came back negative. Theres something still telling me that I am pregnant though, I have all the symptoms I am also on birth control so I never miss a period. EVER. I am supposed to get my next one next week. I just dont know if this is all in my head and I made my self get these symptoms or if I could still possibly be pregnant. I just really dont know what to do.

Hi Princess,

Regarding the "slightly positive home tests," there is no such thing.  The test is either YES or NO.  It reacts to the presence of the hormone (hCG) only.  If you get "slightly positive" then it is a bad test.

The blood tests are usually very accurate.

Sometimes you can just miss a period.  It does happen for unknown reasons.

Birth control is also about 99% effective taken regularly.

Wait a week or so then repeat the urine test.  Use your first morning urine.  If you still haven't had your period in another week or so I would expect your ob to repeat the test.

Good luck.

There clearly is a slight positive if I got one. It was just faint. I've been on the same birth control for 5 years and never once missed a period. Even stressed as hell have never missed one. I just dont understand how I can have so many symptoms and a missed period and not be pregnant. What else would cause this?

hi that also happened to me i had two positive tests but a negative blood test i know it sounds crazy and you think how the hell can this be i used a trueline test and apparently they use a small amount of hcg to make the control line appear on the stick if any of that hcg has getting to the test line it will give you a faint false positive ...hope this helps
