I am very confused about whats going on with my feet, both left and right. I'm in perfect health as all my test have shown, yet the problem with my feet continue to get worse, weekly.

The tops of my feet get swollen, warm to the touch and harden up in the swollen areas. The hardening is not the type you would normally see with swelling, spongy, if you touch the areas, it leave long lasting indents. The other problem that's now occurring is that it's severely painful to the touch, The slightest rub and it send me into tears. Yet the only thing that relieves this swelling and pain is for it to be rubbed out or to wait about two weeks.

It only occurres ,almost instantly after eating blueberries, tuna, breads, oranges, chicken... yet they say I have no food allergies. But this is the only time my feet swell like this, I cut them out of my diet, and about two weeks the symptoms go away, unless my feet are rubbed and then it gos away sooner. Only problem is, it's starting to happen now with other foods, so I'm starting to be very picky with eating, to see what and will not set this off in me. I've had my heart tested, my liver, kidneys and nothing. They mentioned celiac . yet i can eat lots of things that people that do have it can not.

I went on 17 mile hike last weekend and no swelling at all. I ate pizza with my family yesterday and now I'm sitting here with swollen painful feet and can't even put pressure on them to walk. PLEASE anyone else going through or have gone through anything similar? How can i make my doctors take this seriously? I would like to have other thigns looked at, but where do i start?

The best thing that you can do is try to document waht's going on. It is hard for doctors to track what's going on when they have to go on your story alone so be sure to keep your doctor informed. Do you have a video cam or something like that?

Hi Check your blood for uric acid. If its high then do this. Pls. avoid foods that are high in protiens like red meats, crustaceans, dry fruits, tomatoes, citric drinks, vinegar, pulses. U may eat chicken but not liver, white fish but not salmion. Drink lots of water so U could urinate more often. Take zyloric 100mgs one a day until the swelling subsides & during the time U have the pain take pain killers. Rgds oz

I have this same thing!! I had a horrible time putting on shoes or walking for a year. I went on the Atkins diet and it went away in less than a week. It's a very hard diet to stick with and I had waffles and orange juice on Sunday and it's back.

I've had kidney and liver bloodwork and it's fine. My cholesterol is perfect. I'm not sure if it's wheat, sugar, carbs in general...

Have you found out what the cause of your problem is yet?
