If I am not mistaking this refers to bilirubine. Bilirubine is a yellow breakdown product of normal heme catabolism. Bilirubine is excreted in the bile and urine, so you can see why is the urine test the test that is showing the result of elevated bilirubin or bil. I know that there are several condition that might be caused by this condition. For instance you might get jaundice in the sclera if the bil levels are too high. In some cases this can be noticed in the skin as well. I hope that your bilirubin levels will get back to normal and that you won’t have any further problems with this condition.
