So the same thing happened to me; I hadnt had sex in a few months, then had it quite a bit for like, 3 days... had some abdominal discomfort, then some light bleeding 2 days after the, um, 'roughest' encounter... I really think that daisy33loca is right, that our poor girlie parts just arent used to being used so often, so when we go at it crazy for a couple days, it really bothers our cervixes. Also, sorry if this is TMI, but the guy i was with was much more... 'well endowed' then the guys ive been with the past few years, and i think that had a lot to do with it. i really just think the pain is equivalent to like, a vagina bruise. lol. our lady bits are delicate, so when we use them a lot all of a sudden, it makes sense that there's a reaction. obviously, if the pain or bleeding continues longer than a couple days, then see your doctor. but pain and spotting 1-3 days after intercourse would not be a sign of an std or pregnancy, simply because it takes longer than that to develop symptoms for each. Unless, of course, you already had an std prior to aformentioned intercourse. pain during or after intercourse is a symptom of quite a few std's, but it usually takes a couple weeks for that sort of thing to show symptoms, if you get any at all. im still gonna go to the doctor, cuz it's verging on day 3 here and although the bleeding stopped, i still feel some pain, almost level with my hipbones, maybe a little lower. better to be safe than sorry, eh?

well it could be that your boyfriend is going to deep on you so that could cause you to bleed for a while. well im just sayin that because its happend to me; my boyfriend went to deep and made me bleed fo 2 days but when i went to the doctor for it they told me that he had torn the inside of my vaginal wall...but it eventually heals...so im pretty sure thers nothin to worry about....but if u have been gettin your period then its just probably because its time for your period or your periods are iregular...but u might want to go see a doctor and tell them your situation and they will tell u whats up.... :)

I think i am suppose to start my period soon, but yesterday i started to bleed a redish/pinkish color kinda spotting, and i thought it was my period, but then it went to light pink and very little, and then it went away like 3o minutes later.. It never came back, and there was brown spotting kinda after wards, and then all that went away, and today, its all gone,

Hey Everyone,

Currently, I am on the pill, my husband and I have been married for 8 years and no, neither of us have STDs or have cheated on each other. I start to bleed after sex generally a day or two after and the bleeding will last several days. From what I understand, this has to do with shedding of the uterine lining. This, fortunately, is not a follicular discharge (i.e., your period). While I do not know why this happens (at least to me), I do know that it is uncomfortable and sucks. If anyone has any insight as to why this happens, maybe not definitively, but as a suggestion, I would be grateful, but otherwise, I just live with it. Generally when I switch birth control types it will go away for a few months, but then it's back. As I said, before any of you skeptics decide to go there... no, we do not have STDs nor do we have marital problems or cheat on each other. Although, I will say that a symptom of chylamidia is uterine bleeding after sex and contraction so for those of you who have been unfaithful or have an active sex life, this is something to look into.

hi i'm 17 and i've had sex a few times but yesterday me and my boyfriend had sex and today it is painful to pee and i little drops of blood coming out and i'm not due for my period for 2 weeks. i read somewhere that it could be because i was dry. but this hasn't happened before and i've done it 6 times. also somewhere i read that you can have this happen when you still "new" at it because the tissue is loosening up. but can someone tell me why this is now happening and didn't happen my first 4 times?? i'm getting really scared.

my friend had sex for the first time the other day and she said that the day after she bled slightly and then the next day it was kind of heavy. she also felt nauseous in the morning but i dont think signs of pregnancy show up that quickly. she also said that it was unprotected. not sure if all this is normal but i want to help console her that she is not pregnant..

Hi, so my girlfriend and I like just began to have sex and its been like a month and we have only done it probably around 5 times. However when I would finger her before she would bleed a little bit but did not think much of it because I am the first guy she has ever received pleasure sexually from. But one time I went in a bit deeper and she wanted me to put more in so I kind of just fingered her with all my upper hand and then she bled uncontrollably. I think it was just her "Cherry" being popped because the blood was really thin and was running down her legs and such. Now it is like 3 weeks after that or more and she bleeds only a bit here and there but nothing like that. Should we be concerned? Because I really care about her and it just scares us both when we see her blood on my fingers. Is it normal for a little bleeding, or maybe I am going too deep? Someone please help me figure out what it is. And here are the facts, were both teenagers, I am the first guy to do anything to her vagina, and we just started having sex in mid June. Please reply to this so we know she is okay. And she is not the only one going through this, her friend is too but not as bad as when we believe her cherry popped. Thank you

I am sorry she is experiencing bleeding but if she recently lost her virginity, some girls will bleed more than just the first time.

The other possibilities are: an oncoming period or rough foreplay. When you had your fingers inside her, you may have unintentionally hurt her and therefore caused bleeding. Is the bleeding she experienced brown or bright red? Was it a lot or some spotting?

If it was brown, that could just be pooled old blood that was released when your fingers were inside her-- and it would explain a lot. Bright red blood is more like period-like blood or bleeding caused by trauma.

The trauma I speak about would be any kind of tearing in the vaginal area by something like your nails scratching the inside of her. Just as if you scratched yourself on the arm. It may bleed for a little while but it will heal. You indicated that you were sort of rough and this may be the case.

Neither of you should worry too much about it unless you continue to bleed or feel pain in the area. As any cut, it will heal over time. Just stay away from any sort of sexual penetration for a little while and you should be fine.
