Hello all, I am almost 9 weeks pregnant and last week after bowel moments I saw brown and pink spotting was scared to death..I called my midwife who told me to take it easy n rest as much as possible as it could be coz of ultrasound 3days ago.From then I was having brown spotting each time i used the toilet but was just a drop of brown spot.Today morning after bm i saw bright red spotting and nothing after that coz Ive been checking every 15min if I still was having red blood spotting that scared me so badly that I ran to my doctor and got my scan done luckily could see the babys hb and hear it...Thank god everything was fine..Doc mentioned that cervix could have been irritated and cervix was closed in the scan..I m writing to let other Prego ladies that dont panic things might not be that bad even when u c red blood...

To all the ladies having problems with straining during a bowel movement .... I had this yesterday w/ bleeding and it scared me to death. We though we were in early miscarriage. Long story short we saw our baby's hb and everything is ok. SO this brings me to this. I'm not incredibly comfortable taking any medication including coleace right now so I opted for HUMMUS. It is made of CHICKPEAS which contain folic acid. I know it is a little TMI but this am for the first time in 6w I had NO problems in the BM department. Granted you may have to eat 5 or so good spoonfuls but it works! EAT HUMMUS or CHICKPEAS!! It's worth it!!!

Hi im 6 weeks and started with really bad pains.which then lead to bleeding after bowlemovent.went to a&e the thought it was etopic.but ruled that out after test.ive got to see early prenancy unit on monday.they hsvent realy told me if im misscaring

im 15 plus weeks in my pregnancy and from about 4 weeks on ive had on and off brown spotting from straining my bowels. it is frightning every time and i cant relax in this pregnany. I too have two miscarriges one of which was 2 months before i cought with this baby. Ive had 5 scans and all shown me my baby was growing healthy but it doesnt stop me worrying what if??? I have my fingers crosses that this pregnancy goes well as much as i hope it goes well for all of you too good luck.

I unfortuantley had a similar problem, bleeding after a BM but I had uncomfortable feelings in my stomach, and 12 week scan revealed no heartbeat. I truly feel everyone's pain that has experienced this.

hi I am preg also and i went in because there was a little bit of bright blood in my discharge after i had a bm i went in and got an ultra sound they said my baby was measuring 5 6 weeks and i should be about seven eight weeks or more I dont bleed any other time when i wipe just after i bm.. i got my levels checked and they were at the level of the measurment of my baby i go in tomorrow to see if they increased i am hoping for the best this is so scary... but again today went bm and wiped more bright colored blood.... I think it is from straining to hard but we will see tomorrow this has never happened to me before

I had this happen to me, and unfortunately my baby had no heartbeat- I hope for your case its different., I did have other signs, lower cramping like period pain etc but I ignored it and pretended it wasn't there so it was so unexpected for me.. hope its just varicose veins in your vagina which can happen.. hoping and praying all is good for you..

I am 11 weeks and having some bleeding off and on. It gets worse during a bowel movement and then slowly subsides. The best thing you can do is rest and try to relax. I went through this with my 3rd pregnancy and she is now a happy 3 year old. I know it is heart wrenching everytime you see blood, but it doesn't always mean a loss. Good luck ladies!

Hey i'm 16 years old and i'm 23 weeks pregnant i just went to the bathroom because i had to "digest" n when i wipped theres was blood i have no idea were it came from then i wipped again but there wasent anymore blood. I'm worried also because just last week i had a drs appoinment my babygirl is fine but they told me that i was one cm dialated already n that theres a chance i could have the baby early so my next appoinment is next week ill be getting steroids injected to help her lungs develop a little faster or something like that.

Hi, First off you can spot for the first two months off and on. This is very normal for some people. Also some woman will have what looks like a period that isnt through the whole term every month. Just lighter looking then what you would get if you were not caring. Btw, when you carry the lining of the anus is thinner, yes you can bleed with a bowl movment if you force it. So up the dark fruits ladies.when to worry. When your period stopped and no spotting every month after the first two months and then you bleed like if having your period, (while carring). Means your child didnt seed right and you better get in to the hospital so you dont bleed to death. Oh and no anel sex while preggo. That is a big nono
