I realise this is an old post but someone might still be looking for information on this. I found out I was pregnant 4 weeks ago, very early on, but 2 weeks ago (at the 6 week mark) I started seeing spotting after going to the toilet, mainly from straining through my constipation, this then brought on light cramping. The next day my doctor arranged for me to have a vaginal scan. I was showing a 5 week gestational sac and a glimpse of a fetal pole. (I was a week behind my dates) This wasn't too abnormal so they booked another scan for 2 weeks later (today) Just to confirm the pregnancy is progressing. The past two weeks have dragged so much I cannot tell you, especially as the spotting and cramping has steadily got worse when going to the toilet. I read so much that this may be normal and separate from whats going on with the baby growing. Unfortunately for me, I found out today that the bleeding was coming from the Uterus and my 5 week sac had started to break away even smaller. I still felt pregnant and didn't have any significant pain or heavy flow..it was only when I wiped on going to the bathroom. Maybe for some people this can be normal as everyone is different. I kind of knew in my heart that this isn't normal for me as I have had 3 pregnancies that haven't had this scenario. I wish everyone a happy and healthy pregnancy experience. We are positive for trying again in the future and having a healthy little bean.
