okay so i'm not sexually active and i've had this problem for about 2-3 years i have discharge but not cottage cheesy and i don't know how to get it to stop. when, if this is just a stage, does it end?

you said you were not sexually active. how old are you? and pending that question how often to you have your period and are the typically light, heavy, moderate. do they last a while????

I get the feeling that the issue is perhaps a yeast infection or something like that, in which case it wouldn't matter if the poster was sexually active or not. What do you suspect it is?

Discharge is TOTALLY NORMAL and you will have it on and off forever. You should be under the care of a gynecologist who can answer all of your questions.

If the discharge is NOT cottage cheesey than that is a GOOD thing! If it is clear/white and has barely any odor, it's cervical mucus and just means that you're ovulating. It gets really thick/heavy during your peak ovulation and tapers off until you have your period. It should go away for a week or so after your period is done and start up again as you near ovulation.

If it's yellow or has a strong odor you have an infection and require treatment.

You should really be asking your doctor about this. Good luck.
