Hi there to you all out in menopause land! At age 53 my periods stopped immediately after a terribly shock in my family. I have had no spotting since. I am now 60 and all of the sudden, I started getting a yellowish discharge, then my nipples were so sore for about 10 days. Now I have a little pinkish in the discharge and my breasts feel back to normal. Wierdness! I have made appointments for pap etc and will let you all know.

I am 54 . Had Mirena taken out a 1 1/2 year ago with a big 10 bleed. Then nothing. My doctor said menopause, yet yesterday I had blood clots and brown discharge now. I am going thru some testing for a mass so I am wondoring if the the stress caused this problem now.

I happened upon this site after searching for a couple of days before I call my doctor. I have HPV and Squamous cell, I had a partial Vulvectomy done in August and a cone biopsy. The results were just "it hasn't changed so we will watch and wait". Other than the vulvectomy (which wasn't as bad as some photos I saw!) was the scary part. The other day I went to go to the bathroom and looked down at my underwear and they were covered in a watery/light blood colored fluid. No odor at all. I took a photo for the doctor in case she doesn't believe me or there is any question that it came from my vaginal area. I also have been post-menopausal for 6 years now, my low back pain has gotten worse with treatment for it (chiropractic and acupunture). I wonder if anyone has any ideas on this strange "discharge" or if anyone has low back pain NOT already diagnosed as mine is as "disc problems". I thought being treated more aggressively for the back pain would help but since I had the cone biopsy it's gotten worse and the bloody/watery discharge scares the heck out of me! Appreciate any replies.

Oh my goodness. Yesterday I started bleeding again after 4 years. I know that my pap done this year was normal. I have never had a period like this one. I have an extremely bad headache, and the bleeding, cramping is more than a regular period. After reading I am off to the walk in clinic today.

I have read through all of the posts on this thread. Everyone who said they were going to the doctor to find out what was wrong never returned a post to say what the problem was. I am 53 years old and have not had a period for 4 years. about 3 weeks ago I was diagnosied with a urinary tract infection. Put on an antibiotic. The symptoms were lower abdominal bloating and a lot of urination. Urine sample done twice showed UTI infection. AFter a few days on the anitbiotic I noticed a weird discharge which was the consistency of raw egg whites. Had no color. This I just assumed went along with the UTI. Soon after my nipples became really sore and last for about a week. All along this I still had the bloating feeling in the tum. Now it is about 3 weeks since my original uti diagnosis and with the symptoms of bloating and breast pain gone I woke up this morning to pink blood upon wiping after going to the bathroom to urinate. I call the doctor this morning and I am scheduled for an endometrial biopsy on Wednesday. Kind of scared. Does anyone have same thing or a diagnosis of what the problem was.

Was scouring through the posts and yours seemed very similar to my symptoms. Has only happened twice and possibly few months apart. Very slight pink spot and possibly light brown spotting, then goes away. Thinking from what I've read, it's quite normal. Wondering what you found.

I'm 37. I was diagnosed with early menopause in early 20s. The Dr tried to force me to have period with meds but nothing. I went thru the usual meno symptoms. Then after 7 yrs the symptoms diminished.37 now and the r back. I was put on estrogen and progesterone a couple weeks ago. I missed 1 day and then had spotting yesterday and today I have full on bleeding. Dr said it should diminish, but my ovaries are dead! They have been for 17 yrs?!?

i am a 47 year old and have been experiencing cramps and spooting. i have not had a period in over 12 years.i also am experiencing fatigue and chills. i too am waiting for a biopsy but am having to go thru the health dept. they were supposed to do a pap smear but learned during my most recent since the new complaint, that they were not able to get the brush in on the last test 5 mts ago. i am afaid that they have missed something and now it may be too late. i feels as if i am fading somehow and that it could have been detected long before now.

I am 63 and haven't had a period in 14 years. I had some brown spotting, very little. I went for my normal gyn visit and my doctor...without without even looking said uterine cancer. she said i needed a d & c. then she took her little look see and told me everything looked great from her angle. I asked her if she could see anything and she said she could only see a small part of the uterus. she kept asking..well do you want this d & c or not? gave me her schedule of times and told me I could leave. I did ask her if I could get dressed first. While at the window getting the necessary papers, she called me in again. Asked if I had a hysterectomy. I told her no. Soooo I am scheduled for a consult with her next week and the d & c the week after. Needless to say I will be looking for another gyn after this is done. She did say on her way out...it could be polyps also. I am scared and she was of no comfort.
So the approach I am taking is until I hear something bad..FROM AN RESPONSIBLE SOURCE...I am going to think the best. But if any of you have any spotting or something out of the ordinary, go get it checked out. Hopefully your doctor will take a more "let's look and see approach". I will be back with the results when I know.
