vaginal Tissue discharge after Colposcopy and biopsy

Thanks for sharing ladies, I had a biopsy done yesterday and have found what looks like bits of thick white plastic/tissue coming out. It almost seemed as if the latex glove the dr used had been in part, left up there. Do you know when (whatever it is) it will stop coming out? My partner came with me to have the procedure and nearly feinted when he heard the 'snip,' so I don't think he'll react well to the foreign objects appearing during intimate moments! Thanks x

Omg! Thanks for these post. I had the procedure 6 days ago... Started to freak out when i felt and saw a skintype of clot coming out. I wasnt aware of this happening to me after. Lots of help

I had my colposcopy done 3 days ago and today that gum ball sized thing came out and I freaked out! I screamed "what is that!!!!?" and called my best friend that had the same thing done a few years back and she was like " oh thats normal. Its just the tissue and medicine." I thought it looked like an alien. It was black and grey in color. It looked like a rotting artichoke heart. I was not told that would happen so I was VERY freaked out by it.

What you wrote is what I just experienced in the shower to a T. Exactly 3 days after my proecdure too. LOL... thank you for your descriptive, almost humorous essay (now it seems funny, but not while in the shower discovering the "poop" in my V..) Thanks!

I can't believe they did this procedure while you're pregnant. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that they're not supposed to....

So glad I read this. Same thing happened to me and I was so f*****g scared. It happened yesterday. I had a colposcopy about a week ago. Glad for message boards.

Thank heavens. I had this too (colp 2 days ago) and my Doc said they'd be a discharge but this was like tissue! I too though they must have left something inside!!

So glad I found this forum! My doc said the same, yellow discharge, possibly coffee ground looking stuff, but no tissue loss. I expelled a 5in x 3in piece of "flesh" with what looked like a tumor attached to it. I was referred to urgent care and the doc attending said "I think it could be a foreign body" and "I have never seen anything like this" when I showed her the specimin. She did also say "Maybe it's the Monsel's". I assured the nurse I had not participated in freaky sex or drug running using my vijay jay. She laughed and released me. They sent the tissue to pathology, so hoping it's what everyone else has experienced. I left feeling very uneasy, but feeling more confident it was nothing to worry about

YES!! I thought i was having a prolapse too!! I had the mirror down there trying to figure out what was going on... i'm so at ease now, but i'm still calling my GYN tomorrow to make sure he says the same thing..

I thought I was the only one that cried through this procedure. I'm 21 years old and I've only had one pap, so I wasn't aware of how uncomfortable and painful this procedure was going to be. The next day after, I had my period. So I've been freaking out ever since! The blood clots looked so abnormal. I was thinking something went wrong during the biopsy and was afraid to go back and have to do it all over again. Not only was I extremely stressed about what my results would be, but I was concerned what was coming out of me as well.

UGH same situation here! Had my colp 2 days ago, which was uncomfortable bordering on very painful, and my doctor couldn't stop the bleeding for a good 5-10 minutes. He had to use a lot of the Monsel's Solution and even then it was still bleeding a bit. The nurse cheerfully warned me that coffee ground discharge was normal and didn't necessitate a call to the office.Afterwards it felt like my vag was cemented shut... very dry and uncomfortable. It hurt to walk, to pee, and to sit with my legs crossed. I had a small amount of yellow discharge for the first few hours post procedure but nothing too serious.Later that night, when wiping after going to the bathroom, a piece of skin about 2 sq. in came off onto the toilet paper, wrinkled and looking like a mold of my labia. YUCK. This morning, the "rest" came out, about 3x as large as the last piece and with the "coffee ground" dried blood, and bloody mucous, attached. This is the grossest c**p I've ever seen, and I've had 2 kids and 1 miscarriage. The things we put ourselves through for health...

I am SO thankful to read all of this! I had my Colposcopy on Friday (2 days ago), and I had NO IDEA all of this was going to happen. I cried all through the procedure and quite a bit afterward. I haven't gone anywhere this weekend. All I want to do is stay home and sleep. Has anyone else had this happen? Also, I have a smell that is grossing me out down there. I feel like I shouldn't be grossed out by myself. Anyone else having these issues? You all have been a savior to me because my Doctor didn't tell me anything either. Happy healing, and ANY input would put me greatly at ease.....

I had my colpo done four days ago and have also been shedding the werid, large clumps of what is like an old shrivled grey/brown balloon. What worries me is that I'm on the birth control Jolessa, which mean I have three peiords per year. I'm not due for another period for three more months, as the colpo was done a week after my last period. Mine is a weird situation because I had a mishap with the birthcontrol and unprotected sex (leadig to a risk of pregnancy). I let my nurse/colposcopy assistant know but the results were negative of the pregnancy test (It was only about two to three weeks since the unprotected event). Could this be a miscarrage? I'v read simmilar greyish clumps are discharged, and my 'plug' was removed frm my cervix for inside samples during the colpo.

My doctor said if I don't have any chills or a fever I should be fine. I'm just wondering further. still get small bits of the balloon, chicken skin, paper like liner, but not as large. I also have dark brown bleeding when I use the restroom, simmilar to old blood before or after menstration.

Did the shedding of the weird large pieces stop pretty quickly? I'm having that happen now and feeling really uneasy and a bit blindsided that my doctor can't tell me what is happening. Thank you!
