Thank you for this thread! I had my colpo done 5 days ago and on day 3 i had the weird tissue come out. Of course i was not informed of this by my doctor. It seems to have all come out by now but im still noticing a weird metallic smell when i wipe. Its driving me crazy it doesnt smell "bad" it smells metallic thats the only way i can describe it. Has anyone else had that?

I had the procedure done today. Lots of cramps and a brown discharge along with large brown blot clots. The Dr. Sent me home with a panty liner which didnt even begin to cover it. I would have appreciated a warning of what was to come. Glad for msg boards. You would think the $400 office visit would cover giving me full disclosure of the after of this biopsy.

I had a biopsy about a week ago now but when I wipe its black is that normal & smells like metal I'm not in pain or nothing & its only a bit is anyone else having the same problem

12 days ago I had a coloscopy since then I have had a water infection which I have bn on tablets from gp. I am still experiencing a clear hey discharge from my vaginas which is causing me concern. There is no odour is it safe t have sex?

Sorry to hear so many of you had doctors that didn't inform you! I had my biopsy 4 days ago and my doctor told me I'd have a lot of nasty discharge, brown and eventually black and that it would be kind of chalky. She was extremely kind and informed me of what the procedure would feel like. However she did not mention these gigantic pieces of scary stuff coming out of me! I also was freaking out when I noticed it! Thank you for helping me find that answer! Praying all of us get good results from the doctor!

I too had this happen after a colpo/biop. Of course my Dr did not tell me about any after effects i would experience as a result of getting these procedures done. About 5 days after I had the procedure done I experienced the "Famous " discharge. I was using the bath room when i felt something slide out my vagina. I looked in the toilet and seen what looked like a wet tampon with brown specks. I freaked out and was thinking my cervix came out as a result of the biopsy gone wrong lol. Thank God that wasn't the case. I am also experiencing some sweet smelling discharge, any one else experiencing this? It seems like the Dr is purposely not telling us this will happen. I'm sure there is pros and cons to that. Thankful for this forum.

I do have this same issue. I am on day 3 after my colpo/biopsy. I'm still having cramping and bloating. And passed a small clump of yellowish matter. THe metallic odor isn't abrasive, just annoying.

I had my colposcopy done on Tuesday, I asked my doctor if I could remove my Nuva Ring on Thursday like normal and she said of course. Went to pull it out tonight and this skin colored tissue that completely covered and surrounded the ring came out on it. I freaked! Thank you for the Internet and all you wonderful ladies for calming me down. I had a serious migraine like headache all day today too, wondering if they are related?

I had the biopsy done 5 days ago as well as a cyst removal and have been in pain since. I feel like I gave birth and had an episiotomy! Is this normal does anyone know. I am swollen and sitting on an ice pack! Not walking great and can't sit for long? My OB is on vaca so trying to get into my family Dr? Any comments would be appreciated!

I just had a colp/biopsy 3 days ago. My Dr also gave very vague information. I didn't receive any type of pain relief (I saw others mention lidocaine). It definitely hurt and I've been cramping since. The size of clots have increased each day. I passed one today the size of my fist that looked like balled up recycled paper towel. Freaking traumatizing! I'm glad I found this thread. I feel better knowing maybe the vinegar is causing tissue shedding, and that my cervix isn't falling out, haha. Not to be gross, but the smell is odd as well. Not bad, but definitely not normal. I'd love to understand why this procedure causes so much trauma. My dr said I'll have to repeat it in 6 months. I can fathom that right now...

This SAME thing just happened to me--5 days after my colposcopy!! I'm thinking it's from the topical ointment stuff they put on the areas biopsied to prevent bleeding and it's just now coming out. So gross!!

Thank you thank you! This just happened to me minutes ago, and thanks to this post I am much more calm. I was on the toilet (#2) and felt a lump come out of my vagina, and it looked like a fleshy sea animal, pretty decent in size (could fit in my palm). I probably went a step further than most of you (gross I know) and went to grab a plastic disposable straw and poked at it - I don't exactly know what I was expecting, but that coffee grounds discharge was inside it. I was also told to expect that coffee grounds discharge but it never came, and my colposcopy was done 6 days ago. Thanks for sharing your stories!
