Two of my sons had the Embolization cool. It has been devastating.
If you are still using this forum, I'd like to correspond with you. If you'd want to know all they're still going thru, I will be glad to warn others.

The radiologist who performed this surgery still has his Residence here in Florida but has moved to New Zealand "to teach". He's in his mid- 40's so we, of course find this very strange. All the physicians who go to another country to teach are in retirement age, not at the prime of the earning age! We were also told by the radiology office that our doctor did NOT perform the surgery but simply instruct the "real doctor" as "their former radiologist" is not "that kind" of doctor.....that he CANNOT perform surgeries because he is a RADIOLOGIST not a Surgical Physician.
My sons are so very sick and suffering. The older of the two has lost 60 lbs. and when he is at work he perspires profusely. He drinks a great deal of water and to this he has added a bit of salt and magnesium (I believe) so as to help him not sweat-out all of his minerals. He is weak and has not energy to the point of being severely ill for these past 2 - 3 years as he and his brother have both, progressively gotten worse and worse each year.
Please, do consider removal of your coils as I know of no one who has "gotten better" with time, but I am only one person with my thots and opinions. I see what my sons are going thru and do not wish for you to keep on suffering.
If you wished to correspond privately, I'd be happy to help you in any way possible.
Please, do keep in touch! I care!
Signed,
Florida Friend

Did he have the surgery to remove the coils? If so how has he been since that time?

They went in my right groin area, procedure took about 45 minutes and I was home that day.
The Surgey took about 3 months to really notice any difference. But after that, WOW. The pain went away completely and my testicle halved in size. It was amazing. I never had the pain return.
Now 5 years later, something isn't right. I'm getting abdominal pain and that same feeling in my left testicle. Booked into see the doctor next week. I have a feeling the coil has moved.
Started lifting weights again and the pain has returned....

My story is quite positive: had it done about 4 years ago (I was abt 24). I'm from the uk. I had a very dull ache from them which would stop me from playing sports or going to the gym, I was in peak fitness at the time so was really annoying. I had the surgery was painless, but weirdly psychology I didn't like haven't the coils in me. but being rationally so many people have things inside them for Health reasons like contaception coils etc for women etc. I probably had the pain for 6 months or so before surgery, in hindsight possibly should have reduced my gym/fitness time to help manage it and see how it developed but I guess the pain at the time was that unbearable I had it done, but then again I thought the infertility chat around it isn't worth the risk to me.
... HOWEVER 9 months plus later from the surgery and to this day I have NO pain at all. Hope this helps people

I've had bouts of anxiety since having my embolisation done which I've never had before though I have also had lingering dull pain.

FIRST, anxiety is VERY normal - don't no abt ur extent but know a Quite a bit abt the subject; I'd say yes it's was anxiety bouts, but hey that is very very normal/common, and in every aspect of our lives - surgery, to jobs, to Body image, etc especially in today's well... we all have anxieties this just added to it... BUT We're in 100% control of how we feel/react to situations - that is so powerful right?
Accept It and Stay positive and have fun :)
My dull pain persisted for a while as I said abov, and knowing it's there sometimes does makes me more conscious of feeling/sensations there - but yep that pain that used to stop me in my tracks has stopped.
In hind site it's suchhhh a minor operation right... going back to what females have to go through etc. As an example.
Hope the info helps
