My friend has been diagnosed with vasculitis. I know that it is an inflammation of the wall of blood vessel. However, he claims that it is caused by virus. Is this possible? I have read somewhere that varicella zoster virus can be involved. I was hoping to get some more info here. Thanks in advance.

Hello to you too. Vasculitis is the inflammation of the blood vessel’s wall. Immune cells are involved in this process. However, I think that the trigger is still unknown. No one knows for certain what triggers this immune reaction. I guess that viruses can be the reason. I am not sure which ones. You should consult someone who is an expert in this area. If you find out something interesting, please let me know. Bye!
