Hi everyone! I’m new here. I am in the process of researching links between vasculitis and other diseases and symptoms. If you could contribute to my research, that would be great. Right now, I would like to hear from people who have been diagnosed with vasculitis and are also experiencing vertigo. You can mail me your story if you prefer more privacy – in that can let me know, so I can post my email address. Thanks!

There is a link between vasculitis vertigo for sure. I have it as well. I tried many different meds, but at the end of the day there is not a lot you can do. When the vasculitis goes away, so does the vertigo in my case. Do you have either of these things yourself as well, or are you just doing research? Can I ask why, if that is the case?

30 years ago I was diagnosed with vasculitis when a lymph blood vessel rose through the skin, ruptured, bled and caused nearby tissue to die. Over the years, I had several of these lesions on my upper thighs, abdomen, and other areas. Most often, these lesions were not too serious. One time, I ended up in ER looking like a gun shot victim with severe bleeding. At that time the ER debrided the open wound/vessel and the biopsy showed "Perivascular lymphocitic inflammation." I also had gangrene from tissue death that was debrided. A few years ago I experienced vertigo with vomiting that was so severe I had to quit my job. I went through all the ENT tests for vertigo...and did not receive a diagnosis. It was more severe that benign vertigo....without explanation. I saw a neuro ENT who said I had cerebral hypertension. He said I needed to lose weight. I lost 108 lbs. on a low carb diet....and the vertigo subsided. I have had hypertension over the years....really high...and then back to normal suddenly getting off as many as 4 BP meds suddenly....crazy...This past week I had a blood vessel break open and ooze on my abdomen.....
