My friend has been diabetic for years. Recently, he has some blood vessels problems. As far as I understand, it is some form of vasculitis. It is an inflammation of the blood vessel wall. I was wondering if this can be caused by his diabetes. I would appreciate if someone could answer me this. Thanks.

Diabetes can affect blood vessels. However, we are not talking here about vasculitis. It is a form of angyopathy. Experts call it diabetic angyopathy. Vasculitis is more a form of autoimmune disease. Immune cells attack the structures in the wall of certain blood vessels. This is all I know. I think you should contact a specialist for more details. I hope your friend will be all right. Good luck with all! Bye!
