Hi, my father was very sick last week and he had to be transferred to the hospital. Doctor in the hospital told him that his condition is stable but very serious as he suffers from cardiomyopathy cause by virus. He is feeling better now but I would like to know something more about this disease.

Hi, I am also suffering from cardyomyopathy. I was working as nurse in hospital for more than 20 years and many of my colleges had similar disease. It means that our cardiac muscle is damaged and that his pumping function is lowered because of its weakening. Main virus which is causing this disorder is Coxsackie virus type A or B. Also this virus is responsible for great percentage of so called sudden deaths.
