If my girlfriend is a virgin how long do we need to do foreplay before we have sex ? !

Until she feels comfortable to begin intercourse. It all depends on her arousal, relaxation and comfort. Let her tell you when she's ready.

To assist in comfort, you two should absolutely use lubricant the first time. I would recommend using it every time you have sex for at least a year. If she's worried about pain, she can take some pain medication about 45 minutes before. That should help.

On average it takes a woman 45 minutes to get throughly worked up - thats from when she first thinks of sex to when shes fully ready and /ore reaching orgasm.

Since this is her first time I'm assuming you've done other things to familarise yourselves with each others bodies? If not then I'd put off sex until you're familar with each other enough to know what works and what makes you both happy. You don't need sex to reach orgasm and it can make sex less intimidating if you already know your way around each other.

Basically let her take control, enjoy yourselves and let her pick when and pace of what happens, make sure shes comfortable saying stop if she needs you too. Lubricant (as mentioned by the poster above) is a very good idea reguardless of how much foreplay you use.

Talk to her and find out what shes been doing before, toys, althetics, horseback riding can all break a womans hymen which could make loosing virginity easier for her.

Maybe start with a fully body massage so she's relaxed, if she's not relaxed then it will hurt, even with women who aren't a virgin.
Safest bet is to let her set the pace, use protection and make sure she feels comfortable enough to ask you to stop or slow down if needed. Knowing that you'll do those things will really help her out while being intimate with you.

Good luck - and don't forget the condoms. ^.~
