Hello. Just the other day I came from visiting my mother in the nearby town. I haven’t seen her for a long time and I'm very glad I found enough time to so this.
My mother is 70 years old but she is feeling quite good and I'm very happy for her. But I did noticed one strange thing.
Her hands were very pale, almost white. I don’t know is this some normal part of aging but I'm sure that she wasn’t been to doctor over that. The skin on other parts of her body was normally colored.
Is this something I should be concerned about?

I think I know what you are talking about. You see, it is quite normal for skin to change color a bit in those ages, but it shouldn’t be white as you described. So, I have strong reasons to believe that your mother is suffering from one disease called Vitiligo!
People who develop Vitiligo usually first notice white patches, also known as depigmentation, on their skin.
Nobody really knows what the real cause of this disease is but there are some theories that claim Vitiligo is autoimmune process.
Patients diagnosed with Vitiligo should take an aggressive vitamin intake every day, especially B-complex multivitamin, Folic Acid, Vitamin E and ascorbic acid.
