i did my hemorrhoidectomy 6 weeks ago i feel much better now but i still have some pain during BM and sometimes when passing gas. Anyway I spoke to my surgeon after the surgery and he told me that he left another swelling cause he couldnt cut it off or else the incision would be too big. Look at it today with a mirror and i do see the skig wonder if its a skin tag or a hemorrhoid now i feel like i wasted my money and that i was tricked. why didn't this doctor cut all the hemorrhoids at once? I cant go tru all this again if it is indeed another hemorrhoid left.

Hi honey! You weren't tricked! Just like any other surgery, there are veins with major blood sources and when you are dealing with such a delicate area as your rectum and when it is has become a mess from years of blood engorgement, he would have to be VERY selective and careful not to take too much or worse yet cut a major blood source! Most people have a hemorrhoid! So if you have 1 doesn't mean you are needing surgery! The way to deal with this is make sure that it doesn't get to the point of needed surgery! He is a rectal surgeon honey, IF he could take it he would! Due to the his statement I think it was and IS in your best interest that he didn't take such a large amount of tissue! The reason why I say this is because on another link I'm involved with, there is this POOR woman who has been savaged - no other word for it - by a previous surgeon, who took everything and has left her in such a BAD way that she has had 2 more procedures and facing another one! She is at the end of her rope! So this is the other side of it! IF your surgeon was to take TOO much for your body to handle, you would be in a VERY bad place right now! So focus on healing what you have been through, and then after you are healed, start focusing on reducing the size of your remaining hemorrhoid! By ingesting more oils - such as Omega's and olive oil, and making sure that your rectum is in optimal health - using exercises for your rectum and also eating healthy and avoiding at all cost straining and constipation! You have to trust your surgeon, and IF you strongly feel that he hasn't taken care of you that's another thing! But surgeons don't "Trick" people by not taking enough, sometimes - like the lady I was talking about - take FAR too much! And let me tell you, THAT IS the nightmare!!!

So I wish you good health and healing! And I hope I've helped you a bit in settling your anger about the situation! Good luck honey!

Were you told HOW to have a bowel movement? If not I will "Describe!!!" How to!!! o.O :$ I tell ya, I am getting a pro at telling people how to have a poop!!!!! ;-) 8-| XD Also know that your rectum is SUCH a delicate area, and a dirty area, it is harder and takes longer to heal than any other area! Can you tell me what you were told about what to do with your healing and treatment?

You have a computer but not a toilet?!!!!!!!!!!!! o.O %-)

Can you get ahold of a toilet seat to put over the bucket? This is the only way it will work, you have to be able to sit on something to get the pressure off!!!!

I had this same scenario, they left one hem. because there wouldn,t have been much tissue left to sew up or salvage and would have been more painful I would imagine ! I was told I could go back for the other one but I won't do it ! It was an awful experience, if it gets worse we will see.....
