We want to have a baby, I was spotting and my period is late

So my boyfriend and I been planning on having a baby. Telling the truth we always been sexually active with each other but never actually gotten pregnant so I fooled myself that I can never have children but just the second month of twenty-fifteen I thought I had my period but I was actually spotting I didn't really pay much attention until a month later I was waiting for my period and it hasn't came! I just thinking I'm I back to being irregular or am I pregnant?! I ask my doctor they just kept repeating that I'm irregular and it has gotten me furious so I'm going to get a pregnancy test by the end of the month and test myself since the one my doctor took was a little to soon hopefully I am!
