I had my gallbladder removed by key hole surgery in October 2003. I also gave up smoking at the same time. I was told that I did not have to go onto a fat free or low fat diet as the other organs would work harder to compensate for the lack of the gallbladder. I find myself almost 4 years later 2 stone heavier that before the op and yet I regularly attend the gym 2-3 times a week and have done for the last 3 years. Do you feel that this is because I have not changed my eating habits and the other organs in my body are not reacting as they should.
Thank you
