Regarding the itching. Are you taking vicodin? That is usually prescribed for a tubal. Vicodin makes you itch.

I am just 24 hours after my TL and they only issue I am having is the shoulder pain. I am really hoping for the weight loss because I have to say before I couldnt lose weight. I had an IUD in and lost nothing. I worked out and was even on weight watchers and NOTHING. I was starting to get frustrated. I am hoping for the weight loss. I have had to force myself to eat today..

This is the only thread on the internet I can find that talks about unexpected weight loss after tubal ligation! I googled becasue I thought it weird loosing a little over 10 lbs in the 2.5 weeks since my surgery. I have a hard time losing weight. Was just on weight watchers for about 5 weeks and lost all of 2 lbs in that time (and did really well, didn't cheat, etc.)-- this is typical for me, I just don't loose very easily. I went off my diet just before the time of my tubal and NOW I loose 10lbs out of nowhere!? Unreal!

My doc didn't tell me about the possibility of hormonal changes until I was on the way into the OR. I just found out about Post Tubal Ligation Syndrome googling about my weight loss. If hormones can fluctuate causing PTLS (including the weight gain), can they fluctuate and cause opposite symptoms? Seems logical.

Considering I have a good 50 to loose, I'm not complaining but still, it IS very weird. Happy to see I'm not the only one.

I weighted 163 when i had my tubes tied and now i weigh 158 so i lost 5 lbs in the last 7 months i am so sick of being over wieght i am asspose to be 115 lbs to 130lbs. I weighted 120 lbs when i got pregnant with both my boys.

I weighed about an average of 130-140 before kids. Before my TL I could not loose weight and averaged 170- 180. After my TL I lost 30 pounds very quickly. I now weigh 150 no matter what I eat. Pretty exciting for me since I could not lose any weight for years. I am 29 yrs old 5.4 in

I WAS WORRIED, BUT NW FEEL MORE RELAXED I HAD MINE DONE 8 MONTHS AGO AND I HAVE NOTICED WEIGHT LOSS EVEN THOUGH I EAT.....I WAS AT 179 TWO WEEKS AFTER MY TL. NOW I AM 150...HOPE I LOOSE SOME MORE MY GOAL WOULD BE A 120. NOT LESS

I had my tl in June 2013 and I have lost 30 lbs which I am happy about but I don't know why I'm losing it. I have no appetite ever. My doctor has done tests to be sure there's no serious issue but when I ask him if the tl could've caused it he says no but I believe otherwise I just wish I knew why.

The day I went in to have my son I weighed 188lbs (August 2014) I had a csection and a tubal. As of December 2014 I weigh 152lbs which is less than my pre-pregnancy weight of 163lbs. When the weight began to fall off I was like yessss but 3 months later when I realized I wasn't putting in ANY effort to lose weight and it was still falling off, I became a little concerned. Before I got pregnant I would try any and every diet and even worked out to only lose 1-2lbs. Thanksgiving I ate like a football player and I still lost 1lb. I'm just trying to figure out how to maintain my current weight and not lose anymore sheesh.

Weight loss would surely happen if prior to TL, you were taking contraceptive pills. It's what probably caused you the weight gain in the past so in the absence of it due to TL, your body will no longer experience insulin intolerance.

It's been two weeks since my TL and I've lost ten pounds but I also got the nexplanon removed. I thought the weight loss was from the removal of the birth control, but after reading the comments about weight loss I am not so sure now.

Im 4'8 and i have the total oppsite effect. Pre preg weight was 80-85 im now weighing 100lbs after baby an tubes tied 3 months ago. Also my periods are very heavy, i soak through a super + tampon in 2 in a half hrs and have to wear pads for leakage. ive tried everything to lose weight and get bk down to my pre-pregnancy weight, it makes me very depressed, i dont feel like myself anymore.
