Today is April 28, 2018 and I had bilateral salpingectomy surgery on March 7, 2018. After the surgery I lost my appetite and taste for anything non-pescatarian. I started craving fish and vegetables out of nowhere and could only eat small portions of food. This is a blessing considering for the past 6 years, since having my one and only child, I blew up (gained 70 pounds) from Marena (5 years) and Paraguard (1 Year). Prior to the insertion of IUDs I was slim/petitie and never weighed more than 135 even while pregnant. I was athletic, however, the IUDs released hormones that made my body think and feel pregnant so I couldn’t get pregnant. Paragard was the final straw, when at the start of Jan 2018 I began having severe cramping and kidney pain. Doctors told me I had an ectopic pregnancy, but further testing showed this wasn’t the case, then the doctors said I had something in my uterus but it wasn’t a baby! Either way it was time to remove the IUDs and get a long term solution called a tubal ligation.

Getting a tubal was the best thing I ever did. My body is back to homeostasis. My skin is glowing from becoming a pescatarian. I can’t stomach alcohol anymore which further helps my skin and kidney health. I’ve lost 10 pounds since the surgery (so almost 2 months) and have the mental commitment to finally stick with a healthy diet and workout routine, habits that died with use of IUDs but magically returned after the tubal. My BMI is steadily decreasing and my hair is growing tremendously.

Im glad that I'm not the only one who has lost a mass amount of weight. I got my done in April of 2017. The the first year was fine but in June 2018 I started to lose Mass amounts of weight I went from being 285 lb to 235 lb in a matter of 3 months don't get me wrong that's awesome but it can be concerning as well.

I’m 27 and had my right tubal removed due to an ectopic pregnancy. I used to be 133 and always bloated. I’m now 4 months post op and no matter how much I eat I can’t gain back the weight and my stomach isn’t bloated like before. My weight is between 125-128 and it worries me. My anxiety is really bad so I’m trying my best to mentally take care of myself not think to hard about it.

I am 37 years old, had a c section on Dec 3,2023 and had my tubes removed. I weighed 252 pounds( biggest I have ever been)! Today, Feb 13,2024 I weigh 215 pounds and I have not done anything different. By all means I am happy to see the weight loss but I have been extremely worried that something else is wrong with me. Glad I found this thread because I know I’m not the only one and hopefully nothing it’s wrong with me!

I am so glad I found this website and found I am not the only one losing weight after having your Tubes removed. I have lost almost 60 pounds in 3 months. I am really concerned but knowing other women have experienced similar things makes me feel better
