I have been using camphor on several occasions and I have to admit that I was surprised with its efficacy. Not only it helped with the skin irritation form the poison ivy, but it also subdued the pain slightly. What are intermolecular forces on camphor? I am teaching chemistry, so I am interested.

I have also used camphor from time to time and I must say that it really helps. It is made of some evergreen trees, which are growing in Asia, mostly. Its formula is C10H16O. As for intermolecular forces, I hope these names might help - 1,7,7-trimethylbicyclo [2.2.1]heptan-2-one or 2-bornanone, 2-camphanone bornan-2-one.
